About the training
During the virtual Institute, you’ll receive video instruction from an ASQ expert and participate in interactive break-out sessions with other training participants. Brookes will provide you with practice forms, case studies, and handouts to support you during your training.
Upon your successful completion of the Institute, a certificate of attendance will be sent by email.

Payment Updates: Due to the high demand for our virtual training sessions, we will not hold registrations without payment. If you are paying by Purchase Order, it must accompany the registration form(s).

Participants of the ASQ Comprehensive Institute can now obtain CEUs through Loyola University Maryland after successfully completing a Comprehensive Institute. More information will be provided to you about obtaining CEUs during and after the training.
Meet the Trainers
Jantina Clifford, Ph.D.
Jantina Clifford, Ph.D., is on the faculty at the University of Oregon Early Intervention Program, where she teaches graduate courses in early intervention and early childhood special education. In addition to teaching at the university level, Dr. Clifford provides training internationally on the Ages & Stages Questionnaires ®: A Parent-Completed Child Monitoring System, Third Edition (Squires & Bricker; Paul H. Brookes Publishing Co., 2009), and the Ages & Stages Questionnaires ®: Social-Emotional, Second Edition (Squires, Bricker & Twombly; Paul H. Brookes Publishing Co., 2015). Her professional interests include personnel preparation and the development and evaluation of early childhood assessment measures.
Jane Farrell, M.S.
Jane Farrell, M.S., is a licensed clinical social worker who has worked on and coordinated several community-based systems-change grants and research projects, including Project SEAM: Preventing Behavior Disorders and Improving Social-Emotional Competence in Infants and Toddlers with Disabilities. She has conducted extensive training on ASQ-3 and ASQ:SE-2 with early childhood teachers and parents.is an Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Education Specialist for EC CARES in Lane County, Oregon. Jane received her master’s degree from the University of Oregon Early Intervention Program. She was the original ASQ Outreach Project Coordinator, providing training and consultation on systematic use of the ASQ in 25 states.
LaWanda Potter, M.S.
LaWanda Potter, M.S., is a Program Coordinator at the University of Oregon’s Early Childhood Coordination and Referral, Evaluation and Services Program (EC CARES) in Eugene, Oregon. Ms. Potter is an administrator for EC CARES, an early intervention/early childhood special education program in Oregon. She received her master’s degree in child development and family studies from Purdue University. Ms. Potter has been involved with several research studies on ASQ®, including questionnaire revisions, data analysis, and documentation. She has also provided outreach training on ASQ across the United States.
Elizabeth Twombly, M.S.
Elizabeth Twombly, M.S., is Senior Researcher and Instructor in the Early Intervention Program at the University of Oregon. For more than 20 years, Ms. Twombly has been involved in ASQ research projects, including renorming for the ASQ:SE-2 and the ASQ-3. She has conducted trainings on ASQ and ASQ:SE nationally and internationally, and has provided technical assistance to states on the development of early identification and referral systems for young children.
Sue Yockelson, Ph.D.
Sue Yockelson, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Special Education at Brandman University. Sue received her degree from the University of Oregon Early Intervention Program and has a background in education for typically and atypically developing children. She provides instruction on developmental screening of young children using ASQ.
