Returns Information

Risk-Free Ordering

Because we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase, we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for our titles (unless otherwise indicated). At any time within the 30 days, you may return the product for a full refund or credit of the purchase price, less the shipping and handling costs.

Just follow these three easy steps to return a purchase:

  • Make sure the item is in resalable condition. We cannot refund or credit returned products that are marked or damaged.
  •  Enclose a copy of your invoice. Please include a copy of the original invoice (or the invoice number and invoice date) with the returned product so we can issue the proper credit or refund.
  •  Ship the package to our returns department

To guarantee delivery, please insure your package and ship it by UPS (or other traceable delivery service). We cannot issue refunds for packages that are lost in transit without proof of return attempt.

Defective Products

Defective products may be returned for replacement or full credit. They must be reported and returned within 30 days of the invoice date. To report a defective item to our Customer Service Department, call 1-800-638-3775, fax 1-410-337-8539, or contact us through our online form.

Returns from Resellers

Booksellers must request permission to return in writing. Requests must include the following:

  1. a copy of the original invoice and the return authorization
  2. titles and quantities intended for return
  3. reason for return
  • The permission granted is valid for thirty (30) days from the date of the original request. Returns received after this 30-day period will be charged a 10% penalty for late returns. Please submit return authorization requests to the attention of the Brookes Publishing Co. Returns Division via fax to: (443) 279-0016
  • Returns for credit must be requested within six (6) months of the original invoice date for full credit. Only partial credit will be given for books returned six (6) months or more after the original invoice date. No returns will be accepted after one (1) year.
  • All returns must be received in unmarked, undamaged, re-salable condition. Any returns received damaged will be destroyed and a 50% penalty will be assessed.
  • Resellers do NOT have return privileges for DVDs.

All books returned for credit must be postpaid and delivered (after receiving permission) to our distribution center:
