Please note that we have a specific number of seats available for the Institute. The demand is high and seating is limited and will fill quickly. We cannot guarantee that seating will be available through the registration cutoff date. Registration may be closed prior to the cutoff date due to reaching maximum capacity.

General Information
Registration and fees
Q. What are the registration fees?
- Early bird registration: USD $945.00 per person; registrations must be postmarked before the early bird registration deadline. Refer to the Institute page for specific deadline dates.
- 3-day registration fee: USD $995.00 per person.
- Group registration (4 or more and paying with one organization payment): $945.00 per person.
- ASQ Online Hands-On Learning Session registration: USD $325.00 per person (in addition to the Institute registration fee), limited to the first 20 paid registrations. This does require a seperate registration.

How to pay for training
Q. How do I pay for the training?
The following forms of payment are accepted by Brookes Publishing:
- Credit cards: Discover, Visa, Master Card, and American Express
- Check: Please make your check payable to Brookes Publishing
- Purchase order: Submit your purchase order with your registration form
When you complete your registration form, be sure to indicate your payment type. Then mail or fax the form and payment to:

We will not accept nor hold any registration forms unless payment is received at the time of registration.
Cancellation or substitution
Q. I registered but now I am unable to attend, what are my options?

1) Send a Substitute: If you wish to send a substitute in your place, there will be a $75 administrative fee. Both the administrative fee of $75 and the registration form for the new individual must be completed and sent to our office by email no later than the substitution deadline (refer to Institute page for specific deadline dates). After the substitution deadline, we are unable to accept substitutions and the participant may either transfer to another seminar in 2020 or cancel their registration and forfeit their payment.
2) Transfer to another Institute: We would be glad to accept your registration into another Institute based on availability. There will be a $325.00 transfer fee to transfer to another Institute. Additionally, if the registration fee for the new Institute is higher (for instance, the early bird registration has passed) you will be responsible to pay the difference between the original registration fee paid and the current Institute’s registration fee. The transfer fee of $325.00 must be paid prior to being approved for the transfer.
3) Cancel: If you must cancel your attendance completely, all cancellations must be received in writing by mail, fax, or email. Cancellations received prior to the cancellation deadline (refer to Institute page for specific deadline dates), will receive a 75% refund. Cancellations received after the cancellation deadline, are non-refundable.
Lodging and Transportation
Hotel accommodations
Q. Are hotel accommodations included in the registration fee?
No, for the Institute, you will need to make your own hotel reservations.
A limited number of rooms have been reserved at the institute hotel for a discounted rate per night for single & double occupancy. Rooms are on a first-come, first reserved basis. The hotel may not be able to extend the discounted rates beyond the room block or the cutoff date. To qualify for these rates, please make your reservations no later than the cutoff date specified for each Institute, and you must identify yourself with the ASQ®-3 & ASQ®:SE-2 Training of Trainers Institute. You can reach the hotel by calling or booking online. Refer to Institute page for specific deadline dates.
Q. My organization will pay for my hotel room stay with a credit card, what do I need to do?
All hotels have strict policies for payment of the hotel stay. You may be asked to present a credit card at check-in and may incur charges up to the full amount of your stay unless other payment arrangements have been made. Debit cards used for incidentals may be pre-authorized for an amount up to the full amount of your stay. At all times the hotel policies prevail; please contact the hotel directly. Brookes Publishing is not responsible for the hotel policies.
Transportation
Q. What are my transportation options?
Most major cities have international airports with multiple daily flights from across the U.S. and Canada. Be sure to check the local airport for the location of your specific training institute. Once at the airport, taxi and car rental services are available. Ride-sharing services, such as Uber and Lyft, may also be available.
Q. How do I get from the Airport to the Hotel if I rent a car?
Rental car companies will provide directions and often a map of the local area. For more specific directions to the hotel, contact the hotel concierge or visit http://www.mapquest.com/

About the Institute
Q. What can I expect from this training?
The 2020 Institutes are designed for intermediate to advanced ASQ users who already oversee ASQ implementation and training within their organization; participants will leave the Institute prepared to instruct their colleagues on ASQ-3 and/or ASQ:SE-2.
This is your opportunity to network with colleagues, have questions answered by our expert speakers, and learn how to conduct an ASQ-3 and/or ASQ:SE-2 introduction seminar within your own organization.
Q. What will I learn about ASQ Online?
As part of the registration fee, there will be a one-hour overview for ASQ Online on Wednesday.
For 2020, we are offering one ASQ Online Hands-On Learning Session geared specifically towards customers using or considering using the ASQ Online data management system. Our expert ASQ Implementation Specialist will provide interactive instruction on using the ASQ Online system. Please refer below for more information about the ASQ Online Hands-On Learning Session!
Institute hours and attendance requirements
Q. What are the hours of the Institute training?
The Institute hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Schedule is subject to change. The sign-in desk will open at 8:30 a.m. on Monday.
Please take into account the travel time to and from the airport when making your flight reservations and try your best to plan your travel for after 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Q. Do I need to attend the full Institute training?
Participants must stay for the entire time on each day in order to successfully complete the training, no exceptions. Certificates of completion and the flash drive of training materials will be given at the end to those who successfully complete the entire Institute.
Do not book travel earlier than 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday. Brookes reserves the right to withhold training materials from those who leave the Institute early.
Q. During the training I will need to call my office for a meeting. Is that okay?
We understand that emergencies occur and that a call to the office may become necessary; outside of emergency circumstances, please try to avoid scheduling calls/meetings while you are in attendance at the Institute. If this is unavoidable, please attempt to limit these interruptions by scheduling them during breaks and lunches. As is noted, full attendance is required for successful completion of the training; please arrange your business calls and meetings accordingly. The seminar concludes at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Required materials
Q. Do I need to bring any ASQ materials to the Institute?
Yes, you will need to bring the following with you:
- ASQ-3 User’s Guide (Brookes Publishing Stock #70045, $55.00); and
- ASQ:SE-2 User’s Guide (Brookes Publishing Stock #79581, $55.00).
At the Institute, we will provide you with a binder of practice forms and handouts. Participants from the same organization can share the ASQ-3 User’s Guide and ASQ:SE-2 User’s Guide.
You do not need to bring your ASQ-3 and/or ASQ:SE-2 Paper Questionnaires or Starter Kits.
Q. How can I purchase the required User’s Guides?
You may purchase your required materials from Brookes Publishing Co. by either going online to www.brookespublishing.com or by calling us at 1-800-638-3775. Order three weeks before to receive your products before the Institute.
Q. Are there discounts for purchasing training materials?
Yes, Institute attendees receive a 20% pre-Institute discount on all ASQ-3 and ASQ:SE-2 products (except ASQ® Online). The discount code will be emailed along with your confirmation of registration, once your payment is processed.

ASQ authors and Institute trainers
Q. Who are the Institute trainers?
Institute trainers are people who have been involved in the authorship, development, and/or research of the ASQ-3 and/or the ASQ:SE-2. All have extensive experience in early childhood and early childhood intervention. Many are currently professors at universities in the United States.
Q. Will I meet any of the ASQ-3 or ASQ:SE-2 authors at the Institute?
Yes! Our Institute trainers are expert speakers and contributing authors on either ASQ-3, ASQ:SE-2, or both!
Post-Institute training materials
Q. After the Institute, what can I do with my new ASQ-3 and ASQ:SE-2 knowledge, and training materials?
You are being trained to return to your place of employment for the purpose of providing introduction training on ASQ-3 and/or ASQ:SE-2 to colleagues within your office/organization/agency. You are not authorized to train outside of your place of employment nor are you authorized to charge a fee for your training.
You may duplicate the materials for distribution at trainings for colleagues within your office/organization/agency. If necessary, you may charge a nominal fee to cover the cost to reproduce training materials only.
ASQ Online Hands-On Learning Session
About the Learning Session
Q. What can I expect from the Learning Session?
For 2020, we are offering one ASQ Online Hands-On Learning Session geared specifically towards customers using or considering using the ASQ Online data management system. Our expert ASQ Implementation Specialist will provide interactive instruction on using the ASQ Online system.
The ASQ Online Hands-On Learning Session will focus on the technical uses of the ASQ Online system. The seminar covers the process of getting started with the online system from discussing roles, setting up child profiles, entering screenings, managing data, and creating mail outs. Additionally, for administrators we will cover entering new users and product key codes, assigning providers to children, reporting, and Family Access set up and administration.

Q. Is there a fee for the ASQ Online Hands-On Learning Session?
Yes, there is a fee of $325.00 per person (addition to the Institute registration fee). ASQ Online session is limited to the first 20 paid registrations and requires additional and separate registration.
Q. What is included in the registration fee?
The ASQ Online registration fee includes a continental breakfast, morning break, lunch, and an afternoon break.
Required materials
Q. What materials are required for the training?
You must provide your own laptop or tablet for this training. We will provide the demo account and wi-fi.
Learning Session hours
Q. What are the hours of the ASQ Online Learning Session?
This training will occur on Thursday, August 6th from 9:00 p.mm–4:00 p.m. Please take into account the travel time to and from the airport when making your flight reservations and try your best to plan your travel for after 7:00 p.m.

Attire
Q. What should I wear to the training?
Institute attire is casual professional; we recommend dressing in layers as the meeting room temperatures may be cooler or warmer than the temperature outside. You may want to bring a sweater or light jacket to the training.
Additional training options
Q. Would I be able to obtain training elsewhere if I am unable to attend a 2020 ASQ Institute?

Products and discounts
Q. Can I buy product while at the Institute?
Yes, we will have products on display available to take home with you or ship home! We offer 10% plus free shipping during the Institute.
Q. Do you offer discounts on purchases after the Institute?
Yes, Institute attendees will receive a 10% discount certificate toward future purchases of any ASQ-3 or ASQ:SE-2 products (excluding ASQ Online) when ordered by December 31, 2020. (Free shipping is only for purchases made while at the Institute.)
