A widely used, highly effective approach to student success, Student-Focused Coaching (SFC) helps instructional coaches and teachers work collaboratively to improve student outcomes using evidence-based practices. In this coffee chat, join the lead developer of the SFC model (Jan Hasbrouck) and an experienced instructional coach and trainer (Daryl Michel) for a detailed introduction to SFC and how it works. Drs. Hasbrouck & Michel will highlight content from their book, Student-Focused Coaching: The Instructional Coach’s Guide to Supporting Student Success through Teacher Collaboration, and discuss how K–12 schools can use this field-tested, research-based model to help all students succeed.
