GUIDING INFORMATION PROCESSING: KIM KENNEDY AND VISUAL PROMPTS

Through the use of morning meetings, posted lesson goals, and visual prompts, Kim Kennedy guides her students’ actions and participation during class. By providing these supports, Kim is able to support her third-grade students in their growth toward becoming more resourceful and knowledgeable learners within her collaborative and cooperative classroom. These actions, along with verbal and visual cues, establish an expectation that her students use information around them to operate successfully within that environment.
