Darbianne Shannon

Darbianne Shannon, Ph.D. is a post-doctoral associate at the University of Florida in the Anita Zucker Center for Excellence in Early Childhood Studies. Dr. Shannon has been working in the field of early childhood studies for over 15 years, teaching in school- and center-based inclusive early childhood programs, and providing professional development and coaching to teachers, coaches, and administrators in public, private, and Head Start settings.

Dr. Shannon’s research interests include pre-service and in-service professional development, coaching that supports teachers’ acquisition and sustained use of evidence-based practices, and system-level policies and mechanisms designed to enhance continuous improvement.
